Tocana de Pui | Chicken Stew

Tocana de Pui | Chicken Stew is a Romanian food recipe with onions and cream.
Ingredients
  • 1 large chicken
  • ¼ lb. butter
  • 2 tbs. parsley, chopped
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • ½ pint sour cream
  • salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Clean chicken, cut into small pieces and salt.
  2. Heat butter in a casserole. When the fat is very hot fry parsley and onions until brown.
  3. Add the chicken, cover and simmer until the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Brown the chicken quickly, add sour cream and heat while constantly stirring.
  5. Add salt and pepper, cover with water and cook until tender.
