Svartvinbärsbrännvin

Svartvinbärsbrännvin is a Swedish food recipe of black current vodka.
Ingredients
  • 1 liter of vodka
  • 1 kg black currants
Instructions
  1. Pour the vodka into a glass jar.
  2. Suspend half of the black currents in a gauze bag over the vodka. Do not submerge the black currents in the vodka.
  3. Leave the jar closed in a warm place for at least two months until most of the aroma will have evaporated from the black currants and dissolved into the alcohol while the pigment still remains in the currants.
