Potetball | Potato Dumplings
Recipe type: Side
Potetball | Potato Dumplings is a Norwegian food recipe for boiled dumplings.
  • 12 rare potatoes
  • 3 boiled potatoes
  • ½ – 1½ teaspoon salt
  • 300 ml barley flour
  • wheat flour
  • few pieces of mutton
  1. Puree rare and boiled potatoes in a food-processor.
  2. Blend in the flours and salt until the dough is solid. Take the dough and form little balls with your hands. If the ball becomes too firm you might try to make it a bit looser. You can do this by adding some more boiled potatoes in.
  3. Drop the balls in slightly boiling water and slightly simmer for one hour until they float to the top.
  4. Before you take the balls out, boil the mutton pieces in the water for a few minutes.
