Lecsó

Lecsó is a Hungarian food recipe of tomato and sweet pepper sauce.
Ingredients
  • 4 strips fatty bacon, diced
  • 1 tbsp lard
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 lb tomatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 2 lbs bell peppers, sliced
  • salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Fry bacon in lard until golden, then add onion and fry until softened.
  2. Stir in paprika.
  3. Add tomatoes, peppers, and salt.
  4. Simmer, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Uncover and continue to simmer until tender and thickened.
  6. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or potatoes.
