Recipe type: Entree
Kräftor is a Swedish food recipe for crayfish with dill.
  • 10 - 20 live crayfish per person
  • plenty of dill
  • enough water to cover the
  • crayfish
  • 2 tablespoons of salt per liter of water
  1. Bring the water, salt and half the dill to a boil.
  2. Add the crayfish, 10 at a time and let the water come to a boil between the successive additions.
  3. Add the other half of the dill, cover and let boil for 10 minutes.
  4. Leave the crayfish to cool overnight in the refrigerator, submerged in the brine.
  5. When ready to serve, pour off the brine and remove the soggy dill. Arrange the crayfish on a platter and garnish with dill.
