Hasselback Potatoes | Potato Fans

Hasselback Potatoes | Potato Fans is a Norwegian food recipe baked with butter.
  • 4 potatoes, medium
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 2 Tbs butter, melted
  • cheese, grated
  • paprika
  1. Place a peeled potato in the hollow of a large wooden spoon, and slice it in ⅛ inch slices until about ½ inch from the end.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  3. Butter an oven-proof dish.
  4. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  5. Place the potatoes side by side, cut side up, in the dish brushed with butter and sprinkled with salt.
  6. If needed, brush again with melted butter after 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 50 minutes.
  8. About 5 minutes before they are done, sprinkle with grated cheese and paprika.
