Grilled Steak in Marinade
Recipe type: Entree
This Moroccan food recipe grills flank steak in a spiced marinade.
  • 1 onion
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
  • 5½ tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp cumin, ground
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp sherry
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 lbs flank steak
  1. Mix first 13 ingredients in large bowl.
  2. Divide marinade mixture between 2 large shallow baking dishes. Add steaks to marinade, turning to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Grill steaks about 8 minutes on each side.
  4. Heat marinade in saucepan.
  5. Cut steaks diagonally into thin slices and pour marinade over.
