Flank Steak and Salsa
Recipe type: Main
Serves: 8
 
Brazilian Flank Steak is grilled and served with fresh salsa.
Ingredients
  • For the Steak
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • ½ a minced jalapeno
  • 2tsp olive oil
  • ¼tsp salt
  • 2lbs flank steak
  • For the Salsa
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ cup chopped red onion
  • ½ a minced jalapeno
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 2tbsp red‐wine vinegar
  • ¼tsp salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat the grill to high.
  2. Steak: Combine garlic, hot pepper, oil and salt in a small bowl. Rub the mixture on both sides of steak.
  3. Salsa: Combine tomatoes, onion, hot pepper, cilantro, vinegar and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Reduce grill heat to medium and grill the steak 4 to 6 minutes per side for medium‐rare. Transfer to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes then cut the steak into thin pieces and serve with the salsa.
