Dag Bitanoor
Recipe type: Entree
Dag Bitanoor is an Israeli food recipe of baked fish topped with tomatoes.
  • 4 fish fillets
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 2 tbsp dill, chopped
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Rinse fish in cold water. Dry with paper towels and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Saute onion in 1 tbsp butter. Spoon onion into a casserole dish spreading evenly over bottom of dish.
  4. Place fish fillets on top of onions. Place tomatoes on top of fish.
  5. Sprinkle with dill over tomatoes and sprinkle with remaining butter.
  6. Pour lemon juice over fish and bake for 15 minutes until flaky.
