Creamed Rice
Recipe type: Dessert
 
Creamed Rice is a Norwegian food recipe for sweetened rice.
Ingredients
  • 2 1⁄2 cups milk
  • 1 cup risotto
  • 1 1⁄2 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • cooked red berries or jam
Instructions
  1. Heat milk and pour into rice in a steady stream.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the rice is soft, about 15–20 minutes.
  3. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla sugar.
  4. Remove rice from heat and mix gently but thoroughly with cream.
  5. Serve with cooked red berries or jam.
