Chicken and Figs
Recipe type: Entree
This Moroccan food recipe creates a meal with chicken and fig pieces.
  • 3 lbs chicken, skinned and cubed
  • 8 dried figs, chopped
  • 1 8-oz can tomato sauce
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup white wine
  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
  1. Place chicken in a pot and add remaining ingredients, except sesame seeds. Cover and cook in oven on low heat about 2 hours or boil and reduce heat to low simmering for 35 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
