Recipe type: Entree
Brisket is a slow cooker recipe with cranberry sauce.
  • 1 3-5lb brisket - not too lean
  • 1 can cranberry sauce jellied (soup can size)
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 12oz bottle beer or more as needed
  1. Place brisket in crock pot, use onion soup mix as a "dry rub" rub all over top and press into roast with fingers. Spoon out cranberry sauce and crumble with hands over top of brisket. Slowly pour in beer so that the roast is covered.
  2. If your cooker is large enough, cut up carrots and potatoes and place around the brisket to have on the side with dinner. Add more beer if needed to cover added vegetables.
  3. Cook on low for 8-10 hrs. I put mine on the 'auto' setting and it's done in 8 hrs easy. Go another hour if it's not falling apart when you pierce it with a fork.
