Bean Soup
Recipe type: Soup
 
This Bean Soup is an Israeli food recipe.
Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 15oz. can beans, undrained
  • 1 6oz can tomato puree
  • 3 cup beef broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 3 cup water
  • pita bread
Instructions
  1. In a medium skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute until transparent but not brown. Place onion in a large kettle.
  2. Add beans, tomato puree, beef broth, garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley to kettle. Stir in water.
  3. Bring soup to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, cover kettle, and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve hot with pita bread.
